Acutus Turntable

Acutus turntable is radically different from current design theories. Designed from a clean sheet, leaving nothing unexplored or unresolved. Setting a standard of musical reproduction others aspire to achieve. In brief, this is a belt drive, sprung subchassis design and this is where similarity with other designs stops. On first appearance you can see there is something different and you would be right.
Vibration caused by the stylus during playback is transmitted to the subchassis directly through the bearing and not absorbed into the platter. This is achieved using a unique matting material and clamping system. External vibrations are isolated by a unique suspension system, now conveniently adjustable from above. A purpose designed power supply coupled to a unique hand made motor, 10 times more powerful than normally used, drive a massive 10Kg platter. Recently improvements to the suspension, now allows adjustments from above, making set-up easier.
Also the out-board power supply has a cosmetic facelift with universal approval.

Acutus Reference Turntable

Twenty years in development and ten years in unchanged production the Acutus offered one of the pinnacles of vinyl reproduction. Many companies claim to improve their products, however in reality, they are merely changes rather than a leap forward in reproduction. When we make an improvement, it must be easily discernable within seconds and to everyone, not just the trained ears of this world. So how did we improve on the best? The motor unit remains unchanged but for an improvement to the suspension, which allows easier adjustment from above the unit. The transformation has been in the power supply. Three years in development, the Acutus Reference Power Supply has elevated the performance of the Acutus to superlative levels, even leaving experienced listeners of the Acutus in disbelief. Everything has improved, bass and treble extension, lower noise floor, detail and control. Soundstage, dynamics and shear realism. Once again we have raised the bar that others must reach. Existing Acutus' with the standard psu can easily be upgraded.

Diva II Turntable

Despite being their entry level model, the Diva II shares the design philosophy and key elements of Diva's more expensive designs. Mechanical energy transmission away from the record, high torque motors and isolation is a Diva  philosophy with high standards of engineering and design.

The foundation of the Diva II is the same ultra rigid, one piece aluminium casting used for their more expensive models. The arm and platter are mounted to this using the same sapphire bearing and clamping system as their other turntables. The vibration caused by the cartridge during replay is effectively channelled to this main chassis. Platter construction is MDF with the same mat as the Volvere and Sequel models, ensuring an impedance miss-match with the record and with the aid of the clamp reducing energy entering the platter thus avoiding sound colourations.

Isolating the main chassis is critical to ensure low colouration and here Diva have employed a triple elastomer layer system using their uniquely tailored sorbathane compound as used in their Isolating Support Platform; this gives optimum mechanical isolation of the playing surface, resulting in better information retrieval and resolution.

The external power supply feeds a powerful motor to give excellent speed stability and dynamic sound.

The Volvere turntable uses many of the unique design elements of the much-acclaimed Acutus turntable at an affordable price. In brief this is a belt drive, sprung subchassis design. Built to the same engineering standard as the Acutus turntable and incorporating a similar clamping, bearing and suspension design.
