How to buy
About us
We have been in mail order since 1980 and have never had a
single problem. We have been taking credit cards for over
20 years and also have never had a problem. We are
recommended by many manufacturers and Hi Fi magazines. You
will deal with only Dave and his wife Jill or their good
friend Lydia. We do not keep your records on line or
electronically. You are safe dealing with us. We are
predominantly mail order and do not have a shop or a showroom.
Export prices
We can give very good prices if you are not in Europe as we can
deduct 'all' our taxes. For products take the price we
show and take off 17% or multiply by 0.83, this is the price you pay.

a calculator. We usually send by tracked and insured Fed
Ex (Federal Express), this cost might be free or there may be a charge.
For order over £500 we need payment by Bank Transfer, the
transfer must be in pounds sterling and must cover all charges.

Is the item you
want in stock?
We keep most things in stock although some items are held in a
central warehouse and take a couple of days extra. If we
are out of stock we charge a 10% deposit and take the final
amount when we receive the item here in our office ready to
despatch to you. We keep in touch so you know what is
happening.
Credit & debit
cards
We can take any card with the Visa or MasterCard symbol on it.
This is our preferred method of payment. We can't take
American Express or Diners cards. We will need the full
name of the cardholder, the card holders address the card is
registered at, the card number, the expiry date, the last three
numbers on the back, and an issue number if there is one.
At the same time we need to know what you want, and how much you
expect to pay.
We can easily do
this by telephone in English, German or French. We speak a
little Spanish, almost enough to get through! Just Google "
London Time " we work 9:30 AM to 6:00PM London time and from
Monday to Friday 5 days a week, we do not open on Saturdays, but
will return your call at anytime you desire if you leave a
message. On UK public holidays we are also closed.
Or you can Fax your
details to us, only Jill or Dave have access to the Fax machine
which is on line 24/7.
Or you can safely
split your details over two or three e-mails to
dave@soundhifi.com , this is secure as only Dave can
retrieve these e-mails. This is the method most people use
as it is convenient and safe.
Cheques
We can take cheques payable on any known UK bank. We
cannot take cheques payable to any foreign (to the UK) bank at
all. You must allow 10 working days for a cheque to clear.
Cash
We can take cash if you come and see us in person. We may
ask for formal identity.
BACS (UK
internet banking directly into our bank account)
There is no charge for a UK BACS transfer. Ask us for our
account details.
Bank transfer
We can take bank transfers on products costing over £500. The
transfer must be in pounds sterling and must cover all charges.

On Line
We don't do online as the risks are so great.
PayPal
We do not take PayPal, it is not safe for either the buyer or the
seller.
